Automatic Bottling Lines: Applications & Selection
An automatic bottling line connects bottle handling, filling, closing and labeling into a coordinated production process. The right configuration depends on what you fill, the packaging you use and the output you need.
HENGYUAN supplies individual machines and integrated packaging lines configured around these requirements. This guide outlines common applications and the information needed to start planning your line.
What Does a Bottling Line Include?
Depending on the project, a line may combine the following stages:
Bottling and packaging application concept. Equipment and layout vary by project.
Not every application requires every stage. Equipment selection, conveyor layout and machine speeds should be coordinated for the complete process.
Common Product Applications
Bottling equipment can be configured for different industries. Suitability must be assessed for the specific product and machine configuration.
Beverages and liquid foods
Water, juice, beverage syrups and edible oils.
Product temperature, hygiene requirements and container format
help determine the configuration.
Cosmetics and personal care
Toners, lotions, shampoos and other liquid or viscous products.
Filling volume, product flow characteristics and closure design
are key selection factors.
Household cleaning products
Laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids and surface cleaners.
Foaming behavior, material compatibility and cap or trigger
formats should be reviewed.
Sauces and viscous foods
Honey, ketchup, dressings and similar products.
Viscosity and any particles affect the choice of filling system
and product-contact components.
Lubricants and industrial liquids
Lubricating oils, cutting fluids and industrial cleaning products.
The filling method and wetted materials must suit the product
properties and required fill volume.
Agrochemical products
Liquid fertilizers and other agrochemical formulations.
Product compatibility, handling requirements and cleaning needs
should be established during the technical review.
What Determines the Line Configuration?
1. Product characteristics
Tell us the product name, viscosity, filling temperature and
whether it foams or contains particles. Share relevant handling
information for corrosive or flammable products.
2. Bottle and closure
Provide the bottle material, dimensions, neck size and cap type.
PET, HDPE, glass and aluminum containers require suitable
handling arrangements; one setup does not automatically suit
every format.
3. Fill volume and required output
Specify the volume range and target bottles per minute or hour.
Output depends on the product, bottle size, filling method and
downstream operations.
4. Labeling and final packaging
Share label dimensions, coding requirements and the intended
carton or case format. These details help coordinate the
equipment after filling and capping.
5. Installation space and changeovers
Provide your available floor space, utility information and the
bottle formats you plan to run. This helps establish the layout
and the changeover requirements.
From Requirements to Machine Testing
Product and packaging samples help evaluate filling performance, bottle transfer, closure handling and label application. Agree on the testing scope and acceptance criteria during project planning, including whether a factory acceptance test (FAT) is required.
Plan Your Bottling Line
Send HENGYUAN your product details, bottle and cap photos, fill volume, required output and available space. Our team can review the requirements and discuss a suitable machine or line configuration.
